'Tere Ishk Mein' first review: Dhanush and Kriti Sanon earn high praise, an emotional love story set for November 28 release

The first review of the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon co-starrer 'Tere Ishk Mein' has been released, creating great anticipation among fans. The film, which will be released on November 28, is being hailed by early critics as one of the best emotional love stories of 2025. In particular, foreign critic Umair Sandhu praised the film, calling it a “wonderful love story, heart-wrenching moments, and a perfect climax.” The film has been given a 4-star rating outright and is spreading like wildfire among fans.

Anand L. Rai’s maturity and AR Rahman’s impactful score earn praise

In his review, Umair Sandhu said, “Director Anand L. Rai has crafted the film with great maturity, telling the story of love, pain, and sacrifice with great emotion. AR Rahman's background music brings every emotion to life." He also praised Dhanush and Kriti Sanon for giving the best performances of their careers and said they deserve the awards. As a result, the film has attracted national attention even before its release.

‘Raanjhanaa’ spiritual sequel gains strong buzz

A spiritual sequel to the 2013 cult hit 'Raanjhanaa', 'Tere Ishk Mein' is directed by Anand L. Rai and has music by A.R. Rahman. The new chemistry of the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon duo had created anticipation even before its release for many reasons. The film has been getting a special buzz on social media since the trailer and songs were released. The fact that it is Kriti's first release this year after 'Do Patti' has further heightened the expectations.

Kriti Sanon on 'Tere Ishk Mein' emotional connect

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon revealed the challenges she faced while shooting the film's climax emotional scenes during 'Tere Ishk Mein' promotions. “The climax and some of the scenes leading up to it were very intense. Those scenes, shot over 5–6 days in a row, were very stressful both physically and emotionally,” he said. This makes it clear that 'Tere Ishk Mein' is not an ordinary romantic film, but a deeply emotional story that tests the characters.

Kriti plays Mukti, a young woman who falls for the fierce, volatile, rule-breaking Shankar (Dhanush). But circumstances pull them apart before their love can take shape. Unable to cope with the heartbreak, Dhanush's character becomes vengeful and pledges to burn 'entire Delhi' to ashes for his broken heart. Meanwhile, Dhanush's previous outing was 'Idli Kadai' which received decent reviews. 'Idli Kadai' is out on OTT.
