Against the backdrop of a major political and media event in Chennai, a 45-minute interaction between a media team and politician-actor
Vijay has attracted considerable attention. In the interview, Vijay spoke about many things, including his life story in politics, why he had to take permanent exile from films, and his latest interest in people’s issues. He also took a moment to explain why there is so much delay in releasing 'Jana Nayagan.'
Vijay’s regret over the film’s setback
In an interaction with NDTV, Vijay said he feels genuinely sorry for his producer, as 'Jana Nayagan' has been adversely impacted by his decision to enter politics. He stated that he had anticipated the obstacles after his political entry and was mentally prepared for it, but the hardship faced by his producer pains him. This was Vijay’s first direct interaction with a national media platform, which he viewed as a “mock interview,” adding that while some may feel he spoke less, he believes he continues to communicate with the public through his speeches and will engage with the media more openly at the right time.
Vijay on Shah Rukh Khan’s influence
In another segment, Vijay's description of his idols was also impressive. He admires Shah Rukh Khan and candidly spoke about him. He admires SRK for his words and considers him his role model. It is worth mentioning that Vijay shares a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan, and the latter's interaction with the 'Jawan' actor in Chennai went viral during the film's shooting.
