Vignesh Shivan shares unseen voiceover clip for Nayanthara amid rift with Dhanush: 'Here’s a version you haven’t seen'

Amidst the ongoing rift between Nayanthara and Dhanush regarding the use of a short behind-the-scenes clip from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, her husband and the film’s director, Vignesh Shivan, shared some unseen lyrical videos from the movie on his Instagram account.

On November 18, Vignesh Shivan dedicated an unseen clip from the film featuring a few lines he wrote for Nayanthara, filled with love and passion. While sharing the video, which shows Vignesh and Nayanthara playing with their children, Ulag and Uyir, he wrote: “Here’s one version that you actually haven’t seen, my Uyir. This is a voiceover version that couldn’t make it due to copyright issues ❤️ but here it is for you! Love you, my Uyir ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” The song, 'Kannaana Kanne', from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, highlights Vignesh’s deep love for Nayanthara.

He further added, “When there is love… we don’t need anything else. Thank you for defining what love is! Your face, your heart, your behavior… every minute of your life after we met has been dedicated to me, my Uyir! There can be no one like you! @nayanthara, my Thangamey, who can only love sooooo purely and deeply!”

He continued, “The fact that you are honest… the fact that you are strong… the fact that you demand respect… the fact that you are kind and vulnerable too, makes you the most unique character I have ever come across in my life!”


Reflecting on their relationship, he added, “Ten years ago, when I knew we were in love, all I wanted was a lifetime with you, filled with utmost happiness, a lot of babies, amazing moments, and positivity surrounded by good people!”

Vignesh also expressed disappointment over parts of the song not being included in the recent Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale. He wrote, “There are so many of my lines that couldn’t make it to the documentary for reasons the world knows! Yes, it’s painful that it’s not on Netflix! But it can always reach people through all the other options the world has given us!”

He concluded his heartfelt note, “And maybe someday, some good day… people will truly understand where we are coming from! I hope that day comes soon!”

Nayanthara couldn’t contain her excitement and commented on the video, “Uyir, I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve your love. Nothing I do will ever match the kind of love you have for me. All I can say is, I promise to love you with all my heart, soul, and every cell of my body. As I always say, I love you way more than words can ever explain. I’m forever grateful to God for giving me you.”

The dispute between Nayanthara and Dhanush escalated as Nayanthara claimed in an open letter that Dhanush delayed the release of her documentary. Reportedly, Dhanush’s legal team demanded Rs 10 crore for a three-second behind-the-scenes clip used in the trailer two years ago.
