In an exclusive chat with ETimes, 'Kodiyil Oruvan' director Ananda Krishnan has confirmed that the film has entered the profit zone in all centers. Ananda Krishnan had a comfortable time working with Vijay Antony for 'Kodiyil Oruvan', and the actor has always given his 200% for the film. "I wrote 'Kodiyil Oruvan' thinking of Vijay Antony, and it's a tailor-made film for the actor. He always delivered the best for the role and kept me comfortable when working for the film. I have edited the first copy of the film, while the final cut was made by Vijay Antony, and we had a great understanding,” Ananda Krishnan shares.

Ananda Krishan is all praise for Aathmika, "As a heroine, Aathmika needed more time to dress up beautifully, so she used to come little earlier to the shooting spot to manage the time, and made us complete the film shooting in time. She is such a dedicated actress, and she has the capability of transforming big."

When asked about Ramchandra Raju's performance, Ananda Krishnan shares, "When we approached Ramchandra Raju for the villain role in 'Kodiyil Oruvan', he was yet to make his Tamil debut 'Sulthan'. We felt so responsible to carry the mass Ramchandra Raju in the film like he had for 'KGF'. But now he is happy with the response for 'Kodiyil Oruvan'."

About the production cost, and box office of 'Kodiyil Oruvan', Ananda Krishnan reveals, "The producer TD Rajha has given me full freedom, and he wasn't involved in the film process till I completed the film. He cleared funds on time, and the film has become the high-budget film of Vijay Antony. But the response to the film has made it succeed at the box office, and the film has entered the profit zone in all centers."

Ananda Krishnan also divulges his plans for 'Kodiyil Oruvan 2', "When I wrote the script for 'Kodiyil Oruvan', I decided to make the film in two parts, and the complete script for both parts had been done. But the sequel might take some time, and it will be the continuation of Vijay Antony's political journey from where he ended in the prequel.”
