Thala Ajith’s Viswasam is all set to take on Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta this Pongal and it only gives us more reasons to watch the commercial potboiler. The film shows Ajith as a man of the masseswho evokes fear in the hearts of adversaries. Before the movie review of 'Viswasam' is out, here are five reasons why you should watch Thala Ajith starrer:

Once again, after Veeram, Thala Ajith will be seen in a rustic avatar in the action drama. This time around, he plays Thookudurai, a village chieftain who is loved by his people. He sports a handlebar moustache, wears veshti and takes on the bad guys. His line, ‘Yen kadhaiyila naan villain da’ is sure to resonate with the audience big time. Viswasam is expected to have some heavy-duty stunts, too, performed by Thala. The stunts are choreographed by Dilip Subbarayan. D Imman
This is music composer D Imman’s first album with director Siva and the album has become a huge hit with fans. The song, Kannaana Kanney, a melody sung by Sid Sriram, has topped the charts. While Adichi Thooku, is a mass number which aptly captures the spirit of Pongal, Vaaney Vaaney brings veteran singer Hariharan and Shreya Ghoshal together. The introductory number, Vetti Kattu, sung by Shankar Mahadevan, highlights the virtues of Thookudurai. Rise Up is an energetic theme number and Danga Danga is sung by Senthil Ganesh and Rajalakshmi.
Ajith- Nayanthara
Thala Ajith and Nayanthara have been a successful combination. While Nayanthara’s career took off after Billa, the two shared a sizzling chemistry in Aegan and Arrambam as well. It would be interesting to see the duo coming back together after a long gap. Nayanthara has been on a career high after films like Aramm, Imaikka Nodigal and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Ajith, on the other hand, is reported to have called Viswasam, his best film with director Siva.
Ajith-Siva
Thala Ajith has been working with the same director for the last few years and needless to say, it shows his immense faith in Siva. After Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam, the duo has come together to cast a spell on the audience once again with Viswasam. The film is a rural entertainer just like Veeram. Even the salt-and-pepper look sported by Ajith in the film is similar to that of Veeram. Viswasam is also said to be an emotional roller coaster, something director Siva is an expert in. The combination is to watch out for, especially since Ajith is moving on to the Tamil remake of Pink after this one.
Jagapati Babu
Telugu actor Jagapati Babu, who plays the baddie in the film, is one of the most-wanted villains in the industry. The actor had played a butcher-turned-educationist in Thalapathy Vijay’s Bairavaa and is expected to play a menacing villain for Thala Ajith, as well. Jagapati Babu calls himself the hero of the film in the trailer and Ajith, the villain, which only gives us more reasons to watch the Pongal release.
