Vivek to Mayilsamy: Tamil stars who passed away recently due to a heart attack

Tamil cinema has produced several talented stars over the years, and they have cemented a strong place in the hearts of fans through their winning roles. But some have left us in shock with their untimely demise, and left a vacuum in the cinema industry. Heart attack aka Cardiac arrest is the one we have seen stars suffering over the years and stars of different ages experienced it in the past. Vivek

After campaigning for the corona vaccination on April 15, 2021, popular comedy actor Vivek suffered a heart attack a couple of days later on the early morning of April 17. He was then rushed to the hospital in Chennai, but treatments didn't help the 59-year-old actor and he had his last breath. The 100% block in the left anterior descending artery vessel of Vivek was said to be the reason for the cardiac arrest. But his place in the industry is still empty, and fans recall his memories by revisiting his movies.

KV Anand

After 'Kappaan' with Suriya, cinematographer turned director KV Anand was in discussion to do a romantic story set in a political backdrop. But the talented director got infected with COVID-19 and suffered a cardiac arrest when he was on his way to recovery. The saddening fact was KV Anand's family members were also infected with COVID-19, when he passed away, and his mortal remains were sent directly to the crematorium field, he was 51.

Arun Alexander

Arun Alexander grabbed attention through his role in 'Kaithi' and he also played a key role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's following film 'Master'. But when all going in the right direction for Arun Alexander, he suffered a cardiac arrest in December 2020 and passed away. The untimely demise of the emerging actor, who fought long for his place in the industry, had shocked his friends and close ones. Arun Alexander was 48, and the 'Master' team respected the actor through a tribute card when the film was released a month later.

E Ramadoss

Director turned actor E Ramadoss was notable for his roles in Tamil movies and he directed 'Raja Rajathan', 'Suyamwaram', and a few other successful films. The 66-year-old actor was admitted to a hospital due to illness last January, but he suffered a cardiac arrest during his treatment and had his last breath on January 23, 2023.

Mayilsamy

Mayilsamy, who started his cinema journey by playing short roles transformed into a popular comedian in Tamil. Mayilsamy attended the Maha Shivratri festival in a Shiva temple in Chennai and suffered a heart attack after returning home. He was immediately taken to a private hospital nearby his house. But he passed away on his way to the hospital and doctors declared him dead. Mayilsamy losing life within a few hours of his public appearance shocked fans and cinema stars, he was 57.
