Suraj Venjaramoodu’s second Tamil film 'Youth' is currently enjoying a decent run at the box office. Released on March 19, clashing with films like ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ and ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, latest reports suggest the film made over Rs 1.80 crore on Thursday.As per trade analyst Sacnilk report, the film on day 8 made over Rs 1.81 crore, which indicated a drop of form in comparison to its previous date numbers. Earlier, the film opened with Rs 3.65 crore and later added Rs 3.60 crore on Friday. The remaining weekend further added good numbers as it made Rs 5.10 crore and Rs 5.45 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Later, the number saw its first drop largely due to the weekdays. On Monday, it collected Rs 2.45 crore. The collections further dropped to Rs 2.18 crore and wrapped up the first week with Rs 2.10 crore.With this, the film’s total India gross collections come to Rs 30.19 crore, and the total India net is Rs 26.34 crore.

Directed by Ken Karunas, 'Youth' marks his directorial debut and features a coming-of-age story set between 2014 and 2016. It follows Praveen, a teenager entering the 12th standard.
He prioritizes love over academics. The plot is mostly relatable to both Gen Z audiences and family audiences as well.
