Mentally unstable man drives RTC bus for 500 metres, sparks panic in Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: A mentally disturbed person drove away an RTC bus which was parked at LIC building under Two Town police station limits in Vizag city on Thursday when the driver of the got down from the driving seat and was issuing tickets to passengers. The person was identified as Duvvi Kiran, a native of Vizianagaram district, he drove the bus to Jagadamba junction, a distance of over 500 mts dashing a parked car on the way. The passengers in the vehicle were panicked but heaved a sigh of relief when the police rushed to the spot and arrested the man. Investigation has revealed that Kiran worked as auto mechanic in Vijayawada and knew driving heavy vehicles.
