How heroines use their onscreen heroes

The recently released film Maari starring Dhanush and Kajal Agarwal had the actor play the role of a local don, while his love interest who initially dislikes him, soon falls for him. One thing that is bound to happen in love stories of this kind is that the girl who initially only ‘pretends’ to like the hero eventually ends up ‘actually’ falling for him. In Maari as well, Kajal Agarwal initially only pretends to love Dhanush but then actually starts loving him.

This is not the first film that has shown us pretentious love resulting into actual love. There have been several movies where the actresses initially pretend to fall for the actor but eventually develop real romantic feelings as well. Read on to know how heroines use their onscreen heroes but eventually fell for them...

Amy Jackson in I

Amy Jackson, the sultry British beauty, became Vikram’s fancy in Shankar’s film, I. Although we first saw her in A. L. Vijay’s Madrasapattinam as a simple daughter of a British, Amy’s avatar as a model in I floored us! Not just us but also her co-star Vikram. Aware of the fact that Vikram is smitten by her and to be in the advertising commercials business, Amy makes advances towards him and pretends to reciprocate his feelings just so he could be her partner in the industry and keep her on top. And the innocent Vikram falls for her ruse, thinking that she has fallen for him as well. However, later she eventually does fall for him, so thank god!

Shriya Saran in Kanthasamy

Talented actor, Chiyaan Vikram became another woman’s target, yet again! In this 2009 feature film, Shriya Saran makes advances towards Vikram with a plan of seduction and destruction in place. After learning that Vikram is the cause of her father’s paralysis, she tries to seduce Vikram so she could exact revenge for her father. We can see her efforts go in vain as the song Excuse Me Mr. Kandasamy plays in the background and his constant nudge to get rid of her. But then again, cupid strikes and they fall for each other. Well, look at Vikram! Who wouldn’t fall for him!

Simran in Pammal K Sambandam

Sex siren Simran, looked her simplest best in Pammal K Sambandam alongside Kamal Haasan. Portraying the role of a doctor in the film, initially, she and Kamal lock horns over differences between their close friends Sneha and Abbas. However, post an accident, Simran operates on Kamal Haasan but realises that her watch slipped during the operation and has settled in his body. After advices from her nurse friend, she starts to entice Kamal to get the watch out of his anatomy otherwise she will be defamed and needless to say, in the process, she falls for him.

Sada in Anniyan

Vikram strikes again as Sada’s target where she tries to act good to him to get some illegal papers signed by him. Looks like it’s easy to entice Vikram in his films as several heroines have made their move. What also stands out is that it isn’t easy to deceive Vikram without falling for him! Portraying as Ambi in Anniyan, Sada tries to get him sign lease papers of a land and get the transactions of the money done illegally but, honest Ambi stands up against it so she tells him to bugger off as she’ll take up the charge. Yes, she does get her share of Anniyan rage but escapes it and falls for him after finding out about his past and his medical illness.
