'AA23’ update: Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie’s scripting work underway - Report

Ever since the ‘AA23’ anthem dropped, fans have been buzzing with excitement about two of the biggest filmmakers collaborating. Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj have announced that they will be shooting their upcoming movie, tentatively called ‘AA23’ or ‘LK7’, this year. Now, as per the latest updates, the makers seem to have started working on the script.‘AA23’ script work already underwayIn a conversation with Little Talks, writer and director Rathna Kumar who is also working on the Allu Arjun and Atlee film, recently shared an update. He shared that the makers have already begun working on the script.Rathna Kumar is currently promoting his upcoming movie named ‘29’ starring Vidhu and Preethi Asrani.During the same interview, the filmmaker also shared his take on the ‘Jana Nayagan’ leak, the film starring Thalapathy Vijay. “It was heartbreaking to see the film leak. So many people poured their hard work into it, and to watch that being compromised like this is deeply painful. It feels like this has happened because of the hatred directed at one individual, but the consequences go far beyond that,” he said.He further added, “We often talk about the disappointment when a film doesn’t release on its scheduled date or even when a single show gets cancelled—but this is far worse. When an entire film is pirated and put out there, it feels as devastating as losing something you’ve nurtured and created with so much love, almost like losing a baby overnight.”Rathna Kumar also spoke about the sequel of Vijay starrer ‘Leo’. He shared that there is no chance right now. “There’s no possibility for Leo 2. It was scheduled after Kaithi 2 anyway, and that itself has not commenced yet. Let Leo’s OST be released first; then let’s talk about the sequel,” he said.‘AA23’ is said to begin shooting this year, as Allu Arjun also shoots in his next film ‘Raaka’ with Atlee. ‘AA23’ music is composed by Anirudh.
