Celebrities that Sri Reddy Mallidi accused of sexual harassment

Sri Reddy Mallidi, popularly known as Sri Reddy, has been hitting the headlines of late with her casting couch allegations on popular celebrities from Telugu and Tamil cinema. A couple of months ago, the bold and outspoken actress accumulated a lot of attention with her accusations about the sexual exploitation of female actors in Tollywood. It all began with her stripping protest outside the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce when she was denied MAA (Movie Artists’ Association) membership.

The entire controversy took a shocking turn when Sri Reddy accused Abhiram Daggubati (son of top producer Suresh Babu) of cheating and forcing sex on her in the name of providing movie opportunities. She has gone ahead and even released private photos of the two on social media.

From then on, Sri Reddy has reportedly been taking several names from the Telugu and Tamil film industries and targeting them with sexual harassment allegations. She hasn’t left cricketers either. Though the episode with Pawan Kalyan took a major political twist and proceeded in an entirely different way, she hasn’t given a break to her allegations on social media. Right from Nani to the latest Sachin Tendulkar, here are six celebrities she accused of sexual harassment.

During a TV interview, Sri Reddy stunned the Telugu film fraternity by revealing that producer Suresh Babu’s son and Rana’s younger brother Daggubati Abhiram had sexually exploited her. She stated that he forced her to have sex on numerous occasions inside the studios itself, and she also leaked several intimate pictures of the two. Sri Reddy also reportedly released several screenshots of her private sex chat with Abhiram. She even went on to reveal a number of social media chats with known celebrities like singer Sreerama Chandra and Viva Harsha.

It all started when Sri Reddy took to Facebook and wrote, “Nani + Sri reddy =dirty picture..when?? coming soon ..”. A couple of months earlier, she indirectly mentioned Nani as Natural actor and posted a cryptic message accusing him of sexual harassment. She elaborated on how Nani has exploited girls and used them for sexual favours.

Sri Reddy also claimed that it was due to Nani’s behest that she couldn’t be a part of a famous reality show on television. She accused him of cheating and asked him to swear on his family if he hadn’t slept with her.

Although Sri Reddy didn’t target Pawan Kalyan directly, he got embroiled in the controversy after Pawan Kalyan commented on the Sri Reddy’s stripping act. He said, “Rather than sensationalism, they should immediately go and file complaints with the police. Instead of protesting in this manner on the roads, they should go to the police and say that injustice has been done. Let them handle it”. Giving it back to the Power Star, the bold actress said, “You, Pawan Kalyan, who is thrice-married and has no respect for women, how dare you give us suggestions on what to do I once called you anna (brother), but I take that back today. From now on, no woman will call you anna.”

A shocking twist in the tale came when Ram Gopal Varma entered the scene and confessed that it was him who instigated Sri Reddy to say things about Pawan Kalyan to grab publicity and attention. The entire scenario turned political when the Jana Sena founder criticised media channels for repeatedly telecasting Sri Reddy’s words for their TRPs and personal benefits.

Sri Reddy sent the entire Tollywood into a frenzy by hinting at Sekhar Kammula’s involvement in the casting couch sandal. She indirectly mentioned his name and made sexual harassment allegations against the ace director. But in a serious turn of events, Sekhar Kammula lashed out indirectly at the ‘Aravind 2’ actress. He took to Twitter and wrote, “I could never imagine in my wildest dreams that a woman whom I don't know, have not seen or never spoken to in person or on the phone, can suddenly make these baseless allegations.”

Sekhar followed it with a series of tweets and warned legal action against the actress if she doesn’t apologise and take back every word.

Responding to the casting couch scandal that has sent shockwaves in the Telugu film industry, Rakul Preet Singh told that she hasn’t got any sexual offers nor faced any casting couch experiences in her film career. This didn’t go well with Sri Reddy who lambasted the Punjabi diva by saying that the ‘Venkatadri Express’ actress gets crores of remuneration for each film, which she had invested on gyms and other businesses. She went ahead and stated that Bollywood heroines like Rakul live life lavishly and don’t know the pain and burden of actresses like her.

The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon of Sri Reddy is none other than Indian cricketing God Sachin Tendulkar. In her latest claims on Facebook, the South Indian bombshell wrote: “A romantic guy called sachin tendulkaran,when he came to Hyderabad, charmi'ng girl did a romance wt him..high profile chamundeswar swami is a middle person..greatest persons can play well i mean romance well ????”.

This didn’t work out well as Sri Reddy was mercilessly trolled on social media and heavily criticised for her act.

Not only Telugu, but Sri Reddy also made startling sexual harassment comments on Tamil celebrities like Raghava Lawrence, AR Murugadoss, Sundar C and Srikanth.
