During the break of ‘Nishabdam’ shoot; Anushka Shetty, Madhavan & Co watch ‘Sakhi’

‘Sakhi’ aka ‘Alaipayuthey’ is one among the few gems produced by versatile filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Released in 2000, the romantic-drama registered a thumping victory at the box-office and garnered a cult following among youth. Especially, AR Rahman’s soothing numbers are still a favourite among music lovers. And, guess what, the Madhavan starrer is being watched by the entire unit of ‘Nishabdam’ during the shooting break.
While the shooting of this multilingual film is proceeding at a rapid pace in Seattle, lead actor Madhavan took to Instagram and shared a video of the entire team watching ‘Sakhi’ on the television. Besides the 49-year-old, the gorgeous Anushka Shetty and writer Kona Venkat can also be seen in the clip.
Titled ‘Silence’ in other languages, ‘Nishabdam’ stars an ensemble star cast like Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala on board. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the crossover film reunites the sizzling Jodi of Madhavan and Anushka after a gap of 13 years. Besides this film, Anushka Shetty is essaying a crucial cameo in Chiranjeevi’s historical saga ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’.
