Hansika Motwani is famous in both the South and Hindi film industries for her work since childhood.

She has prominently appeared in

Telugu

and Tamil films for most of her career, also making her mark in the Hindi film industry. Born to a businessman and a dermatologist, Hansika is a Buddhist who began her career with the TV series ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’. In the series, she played the role of Karuna, and was the sweetheart of every viewer. She even won a ‘Favourite Child Award’ for her work in the series ‘Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand’.

She made her film debut as a child artist in Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta’s ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, but at the age of 16, she made her debut as a lead with the Telugu film ‘Desamuduru’, opposite Allu Arjun. The same year, she would also make her Hindi debut with Himesh Reshammiya’s film ‘Aap Ka Suroor’. It was in 2011, that she would make her

film debut with Dhanush in ‘Mappillai’.

Hansika has since acted in various films, and has even recently made her Malayalam debut with Mohanlal’s ‘Villain’. Other than her films, Hansika is known for her philanthropic activities related to cancer awareness and support for underprivileged children.



Recently, when ‘Bigg Boss 11’ contestant Hina Khan has made a tasteless comment about ‘bulging’ heroines in the South Indian film industry, Hansika had chosen to voice out her opinion in support of the industry. Taking to social media, she posted, “What is this supposed to even mean? How can she even degrade south industry like this? #shamehinakhan Doesn't she know a lot of
