'It's difficult': ‘Peddi’ actress Janhvi Kapoor reveals why she isn’t considering Malayalam film yet

Janhvi Kapoor is promoting her upcoming second Telugu outing in the sport action drama ‘Peddi’ with Ram Charan directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The ‘Param Sundari’ actress spoke about different Indian languages and shared her thoughts on Malayalam.

Janhvi Kapoor talks about Malayalam language

Janhvi Kapoor in a conversation with IANS shared that she does not see herself doing a Malayalam film anytime soon because she finds the language very difficult to speak and also mentioned that she has a lot of respect for the language. “I don’t think I should attempt Malayalam again, because it's too difficult. For me it's such a beautiful, sweet language.”While Janhvi Kapoor has not acted in a direct Malayalam film yet, she already has a connection with Malayalam cinema. Her 2022 film Mili was the Hindi remake of the Malayalam thriller ‘Helen’. More recently, ‘Param Sundari’ also gave her a chance to portray a character with strong Malayali roots.

Comfortable with Telugu and Tamil

During the same conversation she also added that she is much familiar with Tamil and Telugu language and would love to work in Kollywood. She said, “But I think I am phonetically more familiar with Tamil and Telugu. I am really enjoying working in Telugu films and I would love to explore Tamil films.”
The ‘Devera’ actress has been receiving a warm response from Telugu audiences and is currently concentrating on her Telugu projects.

About ‘Peddi’

Speaking of ‘Peddi’, Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, Achiyamma. The film is a sports action drama, set in Andhra Pradesh and tells the story of a villager who brings people together through sports. It also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Ravi Kishan and Boman Irani in key roles.It will be released on June 4.
