'Jatadhara' completes censorship formalities: Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha starrer receives 'A' certificate

The upcoming supernatural thriller 'Jatadhara', starring Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha, is all set for its grand theatrical release on Friday, November 7. Ahead of its release, the film has successfully completed its censorship formalities, with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granting it an 'A' certificate.

Makers announce certificate details

Confirming the news, the makers took to social media and announced, "It is an 'A' for #Jatadhara. A battle that you have never seen. A cinema experience you will never forget. Witness #Jatadhara in theatres from Nov 7th 2025 in Telugu & Hindi."





The 'A' certification suggests that 'Jatadhara' will feature intense and mature themes.

About 'Jatadhara'

'Jatadhara' showcases the classic battle between good and evil, greed and devotion. The film stars Sudheer Babu as a skeptic who does not have supernatural beliefs. He is later seen confronting dark forces. Sonakshi Sinha makes her Telugu debut as the powerful supernatural antagonist, a spirit guarding the treasure driven by vengeance and greed.

Earlier this month, superstar Mahesh Babu unveiled the trailer and motion poster of the film on October 17. The trailer introduced viewers to a dark and mystical world, with Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in a new avatar.

'Jatadhara' features Shilpa Shirodkar, Divya Khosla, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in the supporting roles. The film will face a box-office clash with 'The Girlfriend', starring Rashmika Mandanna. It is set to release in Telugu and Hindi in theatres.
