On the 25th death anniversary of legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, many Tollywood celebrities including his grandchildren Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram paid their respects and remembered the actor’s contribution to Telugu cinema.
Jr NTR took to Twitter and wrote, “తెలుగు ప్రజల గుండెల్లో నాటికీ..నేటికీ.. ముమ్మాటికీ..ధ్రువ తార మీరే”(sic). (You are the one who is going to be remembered in the hearts of Telugu people forever.

You are the true star). In an interview earlier, Jr NTR revealed that it was his grandfather who named him Taraka Rama Rao. Along with Tarak, his elder brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram too remembered their grandfather on his death anniversary.

On Monday morning, Nandamuri Balakrishna went to the NTR Ghat located in Hyderabad and paid tribute to his father. He spoke about his legacy and the path the legendary actor carved for generations to come. He said, “NTR was such an irreplaceable character and he was larger than life. It has been 25 years that he has left us but we will always cherish the legacy he left for us. Nobody in Indian cinema has played as many versatile characters as he did. He, in fact, showed the path to Telugu cinema.”
On the work front, it is already known that Jr NTR will essay Komaram Bheem, a rebel leader from the Telangana region, and his co-star Ram Charan will be seen as Alluri Sitharama Raju, a warrior from Manyam region of Andhra Pradesh in the SS Rajamouli directorial.
