Vicky Kaushal's starrer historical drama 'Chhaava,' after its massive success, will be released in a Telugu dub in cinemas on March 7, 2025. Recently the Telugu distributors informed a major detail regarding the film's dub.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, at the recent trailer launch event, producer Bunny Vas addressed rumors suggesting that Jr. NTR had lent his voice to the film’s teaser. He dismissed these claims, expressing surprise at how such speculation began. "We never had NTR Garu in mind for dubbing," he clarified, putting an end to the buzz surrounding the superstar's involvement, and further added, "I have no idea how his name was included in reports suggesting he would dub for the promo."
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film chronicles the life of the valiant Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The Telugu rights for 'Chhaava' have been acquired by Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts, with Bunny Vas overseeing the distribution. Known for their extensive reach in South Indian cinema, they are planning a grand release. The announcement of the Telugu release date was made on February 27 via social media, accompanied by a teaser on March 3rd, 2025.

Since its Hindi release on February 14, 'Chhaava' has been a box office juggernaut, grossing over Rs 417 crore in just 11 days and on track to surpass Rs 500 crore globally. The film has been lauded for its gripping story, visuals, and powerful performances. Vicky Kaushal's portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj has earned acclaim, while Rashmika Mandanna shines as Yesubai Bhonsale. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, and Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite.

Rashmika Mandanna, being a popular star in Telugu cinema, is expected to add a boost to the film’s success in the region.
