The family entertainer, co-starring Nayanthara and directed by Anil Ravipudi, also achieved a remarkable feat by crossing $1 million in the US from premiere shows. This marks a significant comeback for the megastar.
Megastar Chirajeevi is back on the big screens with the release of family entertainer ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’. The film features Nayanthara in the female lead and is directed by Anil Ravipudi. According to the latest report, the movie, which was released today, has made its debut with strong numbers, already crossing the Rs 9 crore mark in the morning at the box office.

Strong morning box office numbers

Early morning shows saw packed theatres in many centres. Fans arrived in large numbers, celebrating the return of the Megastar, who was last seen in the 2023 film, ‘Bholaa Shankar’. As per a report by trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’ has collected over Rs 9.03 crore at the box office during the morning shows with a recorded overall 48.74% Telugu occupancy.

The movie has not only minted good numbers domestically but is enjoying a successful stint in the international markets as well. According to reports from 123Telugu, the film crossed the $1 million mark from its premiere shows in the United States alone. This is a major achievement and marks Chiranjeevi’s second film to reach this milestone in North America. Earlier, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ had achieved the same feat, making him the first senior Telugu star to do so.

Speaking about the film, the movie is an action comedy family entertainer which stars Chiranjeevi character Shankara Varaprasad, in the role of an NSG officer who was in a broken marriage with Nayanthara’s character Sasirekha, who comes from a wealthy background. Additionally, the movie stars Venkatesh Daggubati, making a special appearance. It is the first time the two of the Telugu veterans are seen together on the big screen.The film also stars Catherine Tresa, Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Vardhan and Abhinav Gomatam in important roles.
