Telugu actor Manchu Manoj is working very hard in the gym. He is getting ready for director Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti’s upcoming period action drama ‘David Reddy’.
Manoj Manchu begins tough training
The actor shared a post on Instagram and spoke about his training journey. He said that three weeks ago he decided to stop making excuses and start working seriously.
He wrote, “Three weeks ago, I made a decision. No more negotiating with comfort. No more excuses. No more ‘I’ll start Monday.’ Back to real stunts mode. Just the work.”
Manoj Manchu shared that he is now fully focused on becoming stronger for the film.
The actor also spoke about how action films need real effort. He said actors cannot pretend in action scenes because the camera shows everything clearly. He wrote, “In action cinema, there’s no faking it. Every punch, every fall, every collision. Your body either shows up or it doesn’t. The camera doesn’t care about your intentions. It only captures what you’ve earned.”
He also shared why he is training so hard. He said, “So I stopped training to look a certain way. I started training to become unbreakable.” Manoj added that when the body is an actor’s tool, shortcuts are not good.
Muhammad Ali quote inspires him
To explain his mindset, Manoj shared a quote from boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
He wrote, “Ali said it best. ‘The fight is won or lost far from the witnesses, in the gym, long before you dance under those lights.’” Manoj Machu said he has completed three weeks of training and still has a long journey ahead. He ended the post by writing, “Week 3. Long way to go. But I’m not the same man I was 21 days ago. And that’s enough for now.”
Female lead joins the film
The makers of ‘David Reddy’ recently introduced the female lead of the film. Ukrainian model and actress Maria Riabhoshapka will play a character named Clara Whitmore.
Director Hanuma Reddy welcomed her to the film and shared her poster online. He wrote, “Her love isn’t soft… it’s ruthless. Welcome to the Brutal Era.”
The film is planned as a grand pan-Indian historical action drama.
