Manchu Manoj slams YouTuber over question to Varalaxmi Sarathkumar; says ‘narrow mind comes with lifetime warranty’
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar marked an applaudable directorial debut with the latest film, ‘S Saraswathi’. Recently, the team arranged a success event for the film where she interacted with the audience. It turned controversial after a YouTuber asked her an unexpected question about her husband on stage. Recently, actor Manchu Manoj spoke strongly against the line of questioning.
During the event, a YouTuber named Naveen, popularly known online as Poola Chokka Naveen, asked Varalaxmi a question that had nothing to do with the film. Soon after the video started circulating online, many viewers expressed anger. Several people felt the question was not appropriate for a film celebration event.
For the unversed, while speaking on stage, Naveen asked Varalaxmi about her husband. He said, “They say somebody who has a body doesn’t have a heart. But you got engaged and married your husband, who has built muscles. What qualities do you see that you like in your husband?"
To make her point clear, she used actor Prabhas as an example and challenged the idea that people with strong bodies do not have a heart. Her response quickly gained support from fans online. Many people praised her for handling the situation confidently.
Speaking about her film, ‘S Saraswathi’ also features Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Rao Ramesh in important roles. It was released on March 6, 2026.

Manchu Manoj reacts strongly
Manchu Manoj took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared the video. He writes, “Is this the new trend now? The louder the desperation for attention, the cheaper the line. Funny how people who possess neither a big body nor a big heart suddenly become experts in throwing senseless questions that only degrade the dignity and standards of an entire industry. Brother, body size can change with time. Discipline can build it, life can reshape it. But a narrow mind like this usually comes with a lifetime warranty. Sadly, that is the one thing that rarely changes. Especially with women. That kind of question doesn’t deserve a platform. And neither does the person asking it.”For the unversed, while speaking on stage, Naveen asked Varalaxmi about her husband. He said, “They say somebody who has a body doesn’t have a heart. But you got engaged and married your husband, who has built muscles. What qualities do you see that you like in your husband?"
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s response to the question
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar questioned the logic behind the statement. She asked why someone with a muscular body should be seen as someone without a heart. She asked why a muscular person cannot have emotions or kindness. To make her point clear, she used actor Prabhas as an example and challenged the idea that people with strong bodies do not have a heart. Her response quickly gained support from fans online. Many people praised her for handling the situation confidently.
