Actors who turned down the offer to act in the blockbuster film
Actor Nandamuri Kalyanram’s latest release, Bimbisara, received a thundering response and went on to become a huge hit at the box office. Kalyanram came back to the success track with this fantasy action drama written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta. Kalyanram's goosebumps performance in this film caught everyone's attention, and the Tollywood fraternity is also showering praises on him. MM Keeravani has given excellent music for this film, which was backed by Nandamuri Kalyanram under his home banner NTR Arts. Bimbisara, which was released without any hype, has crossed the break-even in just a week, and the producers are reaping profits.
However, a few actors and actresses who got the opportunity to be part of 'Bimbisara' rejected the offer for different reasons. Let’s take a look:

Nithiin
No doubt Nithiin is one of the most loved actors in the Telugu film industry. In his cinematic career, he delivered amazing performances in several hit films. It was discovered that Nandamuri Kalyanram was not the director’s first choice for the titular role in 'Bimbisara'. Reportedly, Mallidi Vassishta’s first choice for the fierce role was none other than Nithiin. However, the Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde actor rejected the offer due to his busy schedule.

Ram Pothineni
Mallidi Vassishta approached Ram Pothineni, known for his energetic performances in films such as iSmart Shankar, Nenu Sailaja, Kandireega, Ready and Devadasu for the character after Nithiin refused to play the dual role of King Bimbisara and Devadutta in Bimbisara. However, he turned down the role to play the role of a king claiming that it doesn’t suit him. Even though Ram gave a stellar performance in his latest release, The Warrior, the film did not do well at the box office, unfortunately.

Allu Sirish
Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Sirish was the initial choice of Mallidi Vassishta to play the lead role in Bimbisara. But he did not agree to do that character as he didn’t find the script appealing. It is worth mentioning that the movie boosted Kalyanram’s career in the industry. Sirish still struggling like a nobody in Tollywood even though his brother Allu Arjun is getting more movies than him and also winning awards and accolades for his performances.

Raj Tarun
This is unbelievable, but it’s true. Raj Tarun was the initial choice for Mallidi Vassishta to play the King Bimbisara. He rejected the offer even though he really wanted to work with Vassishta because the role didn’t impress him at all. He reportedly said that it was not his genre and was a more serious kind of film for him. We think that he took the right decision. Raj Tarun is still struggling to make it big in Tollywood.
