PICS: Niharika Konidela and Chaitanya JV get engaged with the Mega family present

It’s official! Niharika Konidela and Chaitanya Jonnalagadda are engaged in an intimate ceremony attended only by their family and closest friends.

The couple got engaged on Thursday evening at a star hotel in the city. In attendance were not just the bride and groom’s parents, but also Niharika’s brother Varun Tej, Chiranjeevi, her cousins Ram Charan, Upasana Konidela, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Srija, Kalyaan Dhev and more.All the Mega cousins even posed together to click an adorable family picture.

Upasana shared a picture of her and Ram Charan with the newly engaged couple and wrote, “Congratulations dearest @niharikakonidela & @chaitanya_jv. Looks like a perfect match. Wish u guys all the very best.” (sic) Her brother Varun Tej also shared an adorable picture of them and wrote, “And this happened!! My baby sis gets engaged! Welcome to the family bava @chaitanya_jv!!! @niharikakonidela.” (sic)

Fans and celebs took to social media after the pictures came out to congratulate the couple on their engagement. The venue can be seen done up in shades of purple and pink, with white, orange and yellow flowers making up the rest of the décor in the pictures shared on social media. Niharika opted for a blue embroidered lehenga with a purple dupatta paired with diamond jewellery while Chaitanya opted for a dark-coloured bandhgala.

Niharika and Chaitanya, who have adorably dubbed themselves #NisChay, will tie the knot early next year. The actress announced that she was taken in June this year by sharing adorable pictures. Chaitanya is a techie who works at an MNC in the city, son of Guntur’s Inspector General of Police, J Prabhakar Rao.
