‘Pushpa 2’ director Sukumar teases a career-best performance by Ram Charan in ‘Peddi’ ahead of June 4 release

Ram Charan’s sports action drama has finally wrapped and the makers have announced that it is set to hit the theatres on June 4, 2026. Recently, during the date announcement, filmmaker Sukumar heaped high praise on Ram Charan's performance in the upcoming film.The makers hosted a date announcement event where the team members and other industry figures were present. ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar was also present at the spot and shared his applause for the ‘RRR’ star. He said, “You haven’t witnessed a performance like this before from Ram Charan," for ‘Peddi’. During the event, the director of the film, Buchi Babu Sana, also shared his thoughts. He said, “Taking Peddi out of your heart isn’t that easy." Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru called it “an emotional ride." Meanwhile, cinematographer R. Rathnavelu said, “We’ve tried something different in a commercial way and it’ll work really big." All these words show that the team believes a lot in this film. The makers took to their official social media handle to share moments from the event. They shared the video and wrote, “Highlights from the #Peddi Release Date Pressmeet #GetReadyForPeddi.#PEDDI WORLDWIDE RELEASE IN CINEMAS ON JUNE 4th.”Earlier, the film was set to hit the big screens on March 27, but it got delayed as the makers announced an April 30 release. However, it got further pushed back as they shared that it will be coming out in June. They shared a message saying, “We want to give our audience nothing but the best. #PEDDI in cinemas this June.” Speaking about the film, it features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in key roles. The music is composed by AR Rahman. The movie is also reported to have a special song with Shruti Haasan tapping her feet with Ram Charan. It is set for a pan-India release in multiple languages.After ‘Peddi’ Ram Charan will be collaborating with Sukumar for their upcoming movie, tentatively called ‘RC17’. They will be returning after the superhit ‘Rangasthalam’.
