With their first two productions, Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu and NTR's Janatha Garage, making it to the list of top grossers in Tollywood, producer trio of Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan of Mythri Movie Makers have made a blockbuster entry into Tollywood. 'Director Koratala Siva has been very lucky for us. He is one of the prime reasons behind the success of our films.
We'd love to work with him in the future as well,' shares Ravi Shankar, reflecting on the success.
The filmmakers are now hoping for a hat-trick, with their next, the untitled Ram Charan-starrer directed by Sukumar. 'We had been in discussions with director
Sukumar and
Ram Charan for a while now. It's a very fresh combination, and we are glad to be associated the project. Sukumar is known for his clever writing and intelligent screenplay and the film will have his trademark style. We can assure you that it will be a pakka commercial entertainer,' shares Ravi Shankar, adding, 'The pre-production work is going on presently. We're going to have music sittings with Devi Sri Prasad soon. Once Ram Charan completes shooting for
Dhruva, work on our film will begin in the first week of November.'
Commenting about speculation that Mythri Movie Makers has projects lined up with the likes of
Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas and Mahesh Babu lined up next Ravi shares, 'Yes. We are in talks but we may not team up with them right away. Our objective is to make good films and we are in no hurry.'
The filmmakers are likely to do a small budget film also. 'We are in talks with the director and could make an official announcement soon,' says Ravi, signing off.
