Sanjay Dutt hopes Dhurandhar doesn’t clash with Prabhas’ The Raja Saab: 'Every film has a journey'
The grand teaser launch of KD – The Devil in Mumbai turned into more than just a celebration of an upcoming film. With Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah, director Prem, producer Suprith, and Sanjay Dutt in attendance, the event was buzzing with energy. But it was Sanjay Dutt’s candid remarks about an unexpected box office face-off that got people talking.
Two films, one release date
The Khalnayak star is all set to be seen in two high-profile films, Dhurandhar and The Raja Saab, both scheduled for a December 5 release. While The Raja Saab had announced its release date last month, the makers of Dhurandhar recently joined the fray, creating buzz around a potential clash.
Reacting to this development, Dutt said, “It’s amazing because I am playing two different kinds of roles. In Dhurandhar, the character I am playing is poles apart compared to the role I have in The Raja Saab.”
While he admitted there’s uncertainty in how these things play out at the box office, Sanjay maintained a hopeful tone. “Every film has a journey. Nevertheless, I am blessed that I could do so many characters,” he said, suggesting he’s embracing the moment rather than worrying about the outcome.
More about the films
Dhurandhar is a period spy thriller featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sara Arjun. Directed by Uri fame Aditya Dhar, the film promises action and intrigue, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
On the other hand, The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy headlined by Prabhas, with Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The film is helmed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory’s T G Vishwa Prasad.
