Sundeep has acted in supporting roles before becoming a hero. For the unversed, he also assisted the director Gautham Vasudev Menon for a year. In a career spanning over a decade, Sundeep has worked in over 30 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. In 2013, he made his solo lead debut with 'Routine Love Story', directed by Praveen Sattaru. The female lead was played by Regina Cassandra. The music of the film was composed by Mickey J. Meyer. The movie was a hit and Sundeep’s performance was praised by many.

He soon started receiving many offers and then, there was no looking for the actor. 'Venkatadri Express' was a turning point in his career. The movie was a superhit hence the filmmakers remade it in Kannada as Tirupati Express, Bengali as Love Express, and Odia as Love Station. The film was directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. His last film 'Gully Rowdy' in which he starred as an athlete was a hit among the masses.
