‘The Raja Saab’: Prabhas takes 33 per cent pay cut from the Maruthi directorial horror comedy - Report
Prabhas has reportedly taken a 33% pay cut for 'The Raja Saab', reducing his fee to Rs 100 crore to boost the film's production scale. Other cast members like Maruthi, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, and Boman Irani also received significant remuneration. Following audience feedback, missing scenes featuring Prabhas' old look and an action sequence have been added.
Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience on social media after it hit screens with a lot of hype and expectations from fans. A recent report suggests that the Rebel Star has now agreed to take a 33 percent cut from his remuneration for his work in the horror comedy.

Prabhas takes a pay cut for the film

As per a report by News18, it suggests that the ‘Baahubali’ actor, who has multiple Rs 100 crore club films in his bag, usually takes a fee of Rs 150 crore for a project. However, the actor has now agreed to take a 33 percent cut and will be paid around Rs. 100 crore for ‘The Raja Saab’. It is reported that the money was dropped because the actor chose to allocate more funds from the film’s budget towards enhancing its scale, allowing greater investment in grand sets, improved visual effects, and overall production quality.

Remuneration of the cast and crew

The report also includes the remuneration other actor’s received for their part. The captain of the ship Maruthi seems to have received Rs. 18 crore. Malavika Mohanan, who plays one of the leads in the film, is reported to have received over Rs. 2 crore for the film. Additionally, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar are said to have received Rs. 1.5 crore and Rs. 1 crore, respectively.

On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist, is rumoured to have received Rs 5 crore, while Boman Irani got Rs.
1 crore. Veteran comedian Brahmanandam reportedly paid Rs. 80 lakh.

Missing scenes added after audience reactions

‘The Raja Saab’ was also in the news after audiences shared their surprise when Prabhas’ old get-up look, which featured in trailers and promotional content, was missing from the theatres. The makers have announced that they have added the missing minutes, including Prabhas’ old avatar look and the rooftop action-packed scene. They also added about sharpening the film’s end afte audience’s response.
