Man buys LPG cylinder for ₹2,500, claims water came out instead of gas; video goes viral | WATCH
A video from Meerut is drawing attention on social media after unusual claims were made about an LPG cylinder purchased for household use. The clip has sparked concern online and renewed discussions around fuel safety and informal LPG sales.
The incident is said to be from the Tarapuri area under Meerut’s Lisari Gate locality. According to a report by ABP News, a local street vendor named Fahim, who runs a pakora cart, faced a problem when the LPG gas at his home ran out.
Due to urgent need, he reportedly bought a 14 kg LPG cylinder for around ₹2500 from an informal local seller – higher than the usual regulated price.
After bringing the cylinder home and connecting it to the stove, the gas did not ignite. Initially, it was suspected that there might be an issue with the stove or regulator.
Several attempts were reportedly made to start the gas flow, but without success, raising doubts about the cylinder itself.
According to claims made in the viral video, water allegedly started coming out when the cylinder was turned upside down.
The clip shows liquid flowing out of the cylinder, leading to speculation online. The person sharing the video also claimed that only a small amount of gas was inside, while the remaining content appeared to be water.
After circulating on social media, the video prompted reactions from users, with some expressing concern over possible illegal or unregulated LPG cylinder sales.
The incident has also renewed discussion around the importance of purchasing LPG cylinders only from authorized and verified sources for safety reasons.
