Leadership transitions always draw attention, not just inside a company, but across the industry and market too. When a long-serving leader plans to move on, the organization will steer into its next chapter. For one of India’s biggest pharmaceutical firms, that time seems to be coming soon.
Umang Vohra, Cipla’s Managing Director and Global CEO, might be stepping down at the end of the 2026 fiscal year, according to Live Mint, when his current term finishes in March.

According to Cipla’s official website, Vohra has been MD & GCEO since September 1, 2016. His most recent five‑year reappointment runs from April 1, 2021, through March 31, 2026, having been approved at Cipla’s 85th annual general meeting.
