BATHINDA: The peace group Aaghaz-e-Dosti has decided to launch the 8th Indo-Pak Peace Calendar in Delhi on January 11. On the occasion a seminar ‘Sharing of Hopes’ will also be organised.
Aaghaz-e-Dosti activists Ravi Nitesh and Devika Mittal said that “Aaghaz-e-Dosti is a cross border Indo-Pak friendship initiative, which launches Indo-Pak Peace calendars every year.

This calendar is a collection of selected paintings of school students from India and Pakistan. This calendar also carries messages from 12 noted personalities from both countries who favour Indo-Pak peace. The importance of the calendar is that it is a collection of shared dreams and hopes for friendship."

Peace activist and priest known for his efforts in the field of communal harmony and letter exchanges between Indian and Pakistani students Father Joseph, veteran Gandhian activist Radha Bhatt, educationist, Gandhian social worker BR Kamrah, former Air Vice Marshal Kapil Kak, peace activist and Bandhua mukti morcha founder Swami Agnivesh, centre for dialogue and reconciliation executive secretary Sushobha Barve will be speakers.
"The peace calendar is one of Aaghaz-e-Dosti's peace education activities in schools and colleges. The purpose of these activities is to enable future leaders to forge the path towards a better world by engaging them with aspects of critical thinking, civic engagement, and dialogue as solutions", said Aaghaz-e-Dosti activist Pragya Narang.
