West Bengal raises upper age limit for government jobs
The West Bengal government has raised the upper age limit for state government job applicants. The limit for Group A posts has been increased to 41 years, Group B to 44 years, and Group C and D posts to 45 years. Existing higher limits for certain posts will remain unchanged. The revised rules will take effect retrospectively from 11 May 2026.
