Delhi LG cautions officers
"Apart from ensuring minimum inconvenience to people in general, they are advised to specifically address issues at sites prone to waterlogging, including coaching centres," Delhi Lieutenant Governor said in his post on X.
Delhi included in list of 'areas of concern’
According to the weather office, the National Flash Flood Guidance Bulletin has included Delhi in its list of 'areas of concern.'
112.5 mm rainfall recorded in one hour in Pragati Maidan
112.5 mm of rainfall was recorded in one hour in Pragati Maidan observatory in central Delhi, according to IMD's Automatic Weather Station (AWS) network. Salwan Station in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, recorded 119.0 mm of rainfall from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm today, while the NCMRWF station in Noida Sector 62, Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP, observed 118.5 mm of rainfall, said IMD.
