After violent face-off in Galwan Valley, satellite images reveal China diverting course of Galwan river
The satellite pictures showing signs of the landscape of the valley being altered through widening tracks, moving earth and making river crossings were taken by the Earth-imaging company Planet Labs, the Daily Mail reported. 'Looking at it in Planet, it looks like China is constructing roads in the valley and possibly damming the river,' Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at California's Middlebury Institute of International Studies, was quoted as saying. The imagery sighted on Tuesday also showed the machinery along the mountains and in the Galwan River.

UP STF personnel asked to remove Chinese apps from mobile phones
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force has asked its officers and staff to remove all Chinese apps from their mobile phones. A senior official of the STF requesting anonymity told PTI, "This is an internal order of the department, and is applicable only to the STF personnel. The order was issued, but cannot be explained in detail to the media, as it is an internal matter of the department." The order circulating in the social media lists 52 Chinese apps including Tiktok, UC Browser and Shareit.

Himachal: School to be named after Sepoy Ankush Thakur killed in Galwan valley
A government school in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district will be named after Sepoy Ankush Thakur who laid down his life in a face-off with China in Ladakh's Galwan valley, chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Saturday. The chief minister made the announcement after visiting the soldier's home in Karohta village. He also said that a financial help of Rs 20 lakh will be provided to the family of the sepoy. The chief minister said the country is proud of its army and brave jawans that are manning its borders.
