Last flypast in Chandigarh
Indian Air Force personnel rehearsing at Chandigarh Air Force Station ahead of the MiG-21 Operational Flying Culmination Ceremony. The remaining jets, operated by No 23 Squadron “Panthers,” will be officially retired with a decommissioning event and ceremonial flypast at the same base where the aircraft first entered service in 1963.

On Friday, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh will pilot the final sortie of the MiG-21 Bison, closing a storied chapter of IAF history. The ceremony at Chandigarh AFS will see dignitaries including defence minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi, and Navy Chief Adm Dinesh K Tripathi in attendance.
