NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha elections in the Mumbai North East constituency are scheduled to be held this year. The Election Commission of India announced the dates for the voting and results of the Mumbai North East Lok Sabha election on March 16th.
Elections for the Mumbai North East Lok Sabha/Parliamentary Constituency in
Maharashtra are set to be conducted in May this year. The date of voting is scheduled for May 20th, during Phase 5 of the elections.
The results for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the Mumbai North East constituency are slated to be announced on June 4th.
In the 2024 Mumbai North East Lok Sabha Constituency, prominent candidates include Mihir Kotecha from the
Bharatiya Janata Party and Sanjaydina Patil from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray).
Manoj Kotak, representing the BJP, is the current Member of Parliament (MP) for Mumbai North East. He secured victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019 by receiving 514,599 votes, while Patil Sanjay Dina of the NCP garnered 288,113 votes. Manoj Kotak won by a significant margin of 226,486 votes, securing a landslide victory.
In the Mumbai North East Lok Sabha election of 2014, Kirit Somaiya of the BJP emerged victorious with 525,285 votes. The runner-up candidate was Sanjay Dina Patil of the NCP, who received 208,163 votes. The constituency had a total of 862,522 registered voters in 2014.
