NEW DELHI: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi's scheduled roadshow in Jamshedpur on Sunday has been cancelled due to heavy and continuous rainfall.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Babulal Marandi announced the cancellation on Twitter. Marandi said, "Due to continuous and heavy rains in Jamshedpur, the roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city today has been cancelled for the time being."
The event was organized as part of the Prime Minister's tour, but weather conditions have forced the postponement.
PM Modi was to visit Jamshedpur to inaugurate new Vande Bharat trains.
The Prime Minister was expected to inaugurate rural development schemes as well. Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arjun Munda had said, "Several schemes for rural development for the whole country will also be inaugurated during the visit. Schemes for housing will be inaugurated. The government's aim is to make sure the welfare schemes reach the people properly, so for that a big step will be taken in the Jamshedpur programme."
The visit also included a public meeting organised by the BJP at Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur.
