Discover the surprising reason behind Alia Bhatt's minimalist wedding makeup!
Alia Bhatt, in an candid interview to Allure magazine, shared a side of her life with Attention Deficit Disorder and how that persuaded her to treat her wedding day preparations. Known for her preference for minimal makeup, Alia has always used a direct approach as far as natural beauty and subtle looks are concerned. And, according to the actress, she was more than just adamant about keeping things simple on her D-day.
Alia also described a moment with makeup artist Puneet B. Saini, who wanted two hours to do the actress' wedding make-up. The actress denied the request by saying, "You've lost it. Especially on my wedding day, I'm not giving you two hours because I want to chill," Alia was quoted as saying by the magazine.
The star drove home her idea that beauty should be possible and uncomplicated. Though she experiments with makeup for photo shoots and for film role, Alia's everyday mantra is, "Whatever needs to happen needs to happen fast." She said her ADD made sitting still for long periods impossible. Fast makeup application was therefore a necessity for her. "I don't have an interest in spending too much time," she added/
Alia also seized the opportunity to define what she thinks beauty is all about, saying, "Beauty is truly what you perceive of yourself." She explained the proverb that "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder," adding that only when it roots from self-perception is true beauty found. "The way you perceive yourself is the way you project," she firmly believed while emphasizing self-acceptance.
The powerhouse performer also discussed ADD, characterized as a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects individuals' concentration and attention. However, the condition is different from ADHD in that ADD patients exhibit fewer hyperactivity cases. Thus, ADD sometimes goes unnoticed. People with ADD most of the time have problems in planning tasks, completing projects, and managing their time, which also impacts academic or professional life and personal life at the same time. It is identified by forgetfulness, failure to maintain the trend of a conversation due to an inability to hold attention, and being prone to daydreaming or easily distracted. The causes for ADD are not well known, but it is believed to be connected with genetics, environment, and the neurological makeup. Treatment could be behavioural therapy or lifestyle adjustments with the inclusion of prescribed medication in specific cases to regulate the symptoms so it might lead to enhanced daily performance.
