Alia Bhatt nails date-night fashion with Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt stepped out in Mumbai on May 5 for a movie screening, and honestly, they made it look way more stylish than it needed to be. Nothing loud or over-the-top - just easy, put-together outfits that worked really well together. Alia went all-black and sharp, while Ranbir kept it relaxed and simple.


Alia’s look is the kind that grows on you the more you notice the details. She wore a structured black blouse from Chorus (it’s called the Odette jacket and costs around ₹34,400), and it wasn’t your basic top. The collar had that slight split detail, and she left a few buttons open, which added a bit of edge without trying too hard. The peplum-style bottom with soft pleats gave it some movement, and those slightly padded shoulders brought in a hint of that power-dressing vibe - but still very wearable.



She teamed it with black trousers that sat high on the waist and flared out just a little at the bottom. Clean, flattering, and super easy to pull off. At first glance, it feels like a simple outfit, but then you start noticing all the small things that make it stand out.

Accessories were kept minimal but smart. Gold hoops, a couple of cocktail rings, and classic black pumps from Jimmy Choo. She added a Gucci horsebit chain shoulder bag - sleek, understated, and just the right amount of luxe. Hair was left open with a middle part, and her makeup was soft and fresh: glowy skin, pink lips, a bit of blush, and neatly shaped brows. Nothing heavy, just her usual effortless glam.


Ranbir, on the other hand, did what he does best - kept it low-key. He wore a greyish-blue polo T-shirt with beige trousers that had a relaxed fit. Add sneakers and a nice watch, and that’s pretty much it. Clean-shaven, hair brushed back, no fuss.


Together, they just got it right. Alia brought in structure and polish, Ranbir kept things easy and cool. It didn’t feel styled to death, which is probably why it worked so well.
