Nita Ambani just redefined elegance with her retro red sari
Nita Ambani recently hosted a private dinner at her lavish Mumbai residence, Antilia, for a few extraordinary athletes: Manu Bhakar, Neeraj Chopra, Navdeep Singh, and Mona Aggarwal. For this special night, she opted for a quintessentially classic sartorial pick - a red sari which became an old-school evening ensemble paying ode to all things fabulous of the '90s.
Nita has always been famous for her royal dressing sense, which mostly consists of rich embroidery and intricate threadwork. So her sari outing didn't come as a surprise. Her vibrant red sari, which, if said so, was red-carpet worthy by all means. The simplicity of this sari prevented it from overpowering by innumerable patterns and colours that start drawing your eyes elsewhere.
Texture elements were richly present on the borders along the pallu and hemline of the drape, adding subtle yet sophisticated flair. Delicate embroidery brought an enhancement to the sari by lending a touch of elegance without allowing the redness dominate the bold colour on it. The well-designed edges added a touch of sophistication on her entire appearance. She took her look to another level by teaming it up with a blouse whose glittering red decorations added a dramatic show-stopping glamour to the entire look.
Her 1990s-inspired makeover arranged an effortlessly poised finish for the look with the already stunning outfit receiving additional elegance. Nita sported soft waves falling loosely down on her shoulders in the most beautiful manner, giving a movie star glamour so elegantly enhanced by the bold red sari. For the accessories, she chose minimal accessories-tasteful yet subtle as it must be-with delicate golden bangles, elegant earrings, and a statement necklace that looked perfect on her. The bright red went well with the gold, making the sari all the more vibrant.
With her understated accessorised choices for the style, the businesswoman proved, that she looks elegant in everything and perfectly manages to balance tradition with a dash of modern elegance.
