Samantha Ruth Prabhu chooses a timeless pistachio silk saree for President Droupadi Murmu’s high tea event in Delhi

The individual who’s winning hearts online today is Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who shared one of her personal achievements with her fans, which is now making rounds online for all the right reasons.

The actress attended the At-Home Reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 26 and joined a selective group of esteemed guests invited by President Droupadi Murmu for the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. The event, which was held on Monday, was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Amongst the other dignitaries, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s soft traditional aura shone bright and ultimately made headlines. She wore a pastel pistachio green traditional silk drape with golden polka dot prints and an intricately decorated golden border. She matched its aura with a plain, shoulder-length, fitted blouse featuring a beautiful vintage square neckline pattern.

Understanding the art of keeping things understated and minimal, she simply wore a golden kundan choker with green stones and matched it with similar-looking studs and a beautiful statement ring. Her hair and makeup also followed the same philosophy, where she kept a natural-dewy base with a winged eyeliner stroke, soft pink cheeks, and a muted eyeshadow touch.



With a hint of soft pink shade on her lips, she neatly made a centre parting and tied her sophisticated straight locks into a half-updo, making all things look subtle yet iconic. The ceremony was an important occasion that marked the culmination of Republic Day festivities. Samantha’s attendance marks a sense of achievement and how strong her presence is in the field she’s representing.

Sharing a series of pictures from the event, she wrote on Instagram, calling the moment a ‘dream come true’. She mentioned in the caption, “Growing up, there were no cheerleaders… no inner voice that ever suggested I’d be here one day. No roadmap… Dreams like this once felt too big to even imagine. I just kept showing up in a country that allowed that to be enough! Forever grateful.”



Her message highlighted the sense of professional and personal fulfilment that she prayed and worked towards for years. The gathering also provided a rare opportunity for guests to interact with our nation’s leaders and together all celebrate the ideals of our Constitution. Her subtle yet soft avatar, which looked extremely professional, calm, and sophisticated, was well received by those in attendance and by her fans online.
