Designed and crafted by Chinese jeweller Wallace Chan, this piece was considered the most expensive necklace in the world when revealed to the audience. This piece has 11,551 diamonds that weigh a total of 383.5 carats. It features characteristics of bats and butterflies and was ordered by Chow Tai Fook. He owns the Cullinan Heritage diamonds. This stunning piece includes 24 D-colour flawless diamond cuts from a 507.55 ct rough stone and features the 104 ct centrepiece revolving around a jade setting. The necklace took more than 47,000 hours to complete the detailing and can be styled in 27 different ways.

The L’Incomparable Necklace

This is the world’s largest internally flawless diamond necklace, designed by Lebanese jeweller Mouawad. The 407-carat yellow step-cut diamond set in an asymmetrical style of vine leaves looks absolutely magical. It is fastened to a rose-statement gold necklace, which is set with 91 more white diamonds totalling more than 200 carats. This magnificent Mouawad necklace was primarily shown at the Doha Jewellery and Watch Exhibition in 2013. It is worth $55 million, i.e., Rs 478 crore.

The Blue Belle of Asia

As the name suggests, ‘The Blue Belle of Asia’ is considered one of the most fabled sapphire pieces in the world. It is the most expensive sapphire necklace in the world and was bought by Christie’s Geneva in November 2014. This piece of luxury was purchased by an unidentified buyer for Rs 159 crore. The gem used in this necklace was first found in Ratnapura in 1926. It was owned by a popular gem dealer who started his firm and had clients from the British Royal Family. This was among his prized possessions and was sold to Lord Nuffield, the founder of Morris Motors.

The Cartier Collection shattered all its records for the expensive jadeite diamond piece, valued at Rs 255 crore and owned by the Hutton-Mdivani family. Known for its exceptional jadeite cabochons, the necklace has 27 high-quality jadeite beads with a bright green brilliant lustre. These beads are interconnected with no gaps, designed in harmony, and look no less than a fairytale pick.
