Won the hearts of millions

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been one of the most stunning and active Bollywood divas of her generation. The former Miss World is known for her passion and grace and is a regular at several international red-carpet events. Capturing the globe with her style and beauty, she has always been an inspiration for many. However, getting hitched to Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan never changed her priorities in fashion, as she garnered a lot attention when she came out with a revamped look of her mangalsutra maintaining tradition and fashion.

Her original mangalsutra details

During her wedding ceremony, abiding by all the rituals and customs, Abhishek Bachchan presented her with a stunning and unique mangalsutra, which is a common part of the Hindu wedding symbolizing the signs of a married woman. The long double-layered necklace had a unique diamond pendant at the end of it which cost around Rs 45 Lakhs.

How Ash carried the revamped look

By god’s grace, the duo was blessed with a baby girl, Aaradhya Bachchan, and after her birth, the actress made some changes to her mangalsutra. To get a more hassle-free look, she shortened the long length of her mangalsutra and also replaced the double string with just one single string, but never tampered with the diamond pendant, retaining its original beauty.

A close look at the pendant

The stunning pendant has three circular diamonds with one in the centre, and two on either side. The two side diamonds are then attached to the black and golden beaded string, holding the pendant in place, which looks minimal yet stunning, and Aishwarya is thus seen pairing it with ethnic clothing and at times with other clothes as well, exuding a full traditional fashionista vibe.

Matching jewellery

On multiple events, it has been observed that Aishwarya keeps it casual and basic whenever she wears the mangalsutra, and adds a pair of diamond studs in her ears, with no bangle look, and at times a simple diamond ring, with her engagement ring on the side. The actress has been rarely spotted, sporting a heavy and shiny look with her mangalsutra.
