Amid controversy about Katrina Kaif being chosen for the prestigious Smita Patil Memorial Award for her contribution to Indian cinema, the actress actually turned up to accept the award at Trident Hotel in Mumbai on Monday evening and the beautiful lady left everybody impressed with her grace and poise.

Dressed in a lovely green Sabyasachi Mukherjee anarkali, the actress proved to be quite a vision at the event.

The actress, who left her hair open for the function, looked like a symbol of grace.

Visibly overwhelmed at the felicitation, Katrina also paid a tribute to late actress Smita Patil, after whom the award was coined.

The actress might be getting trolled on social media for winning the accolade, but she left us tad impressed with her simplicity at the do.
