Beetroots are considered to be a powerhouse of nutrition and are one of the healthiest root vegetables. From boosting immunity to improving blood flow and pressure, they play many roles in helping us lead a healthy lifestyle. Often referred to as a vibrant, nutrient-dense root vegetable, beetroots are known for their deep red color and impressive health benefits. Rich in folate, iron, potassium, and vitamin C, they help support blood health, boost immunity, and enhance energy levels. It is proven that this root vegetable can help detox the blood and boost skin health naturally too. As per experts, the presence of betalains gives beetroot its deep colour and strong anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties, aiding liver health. High in fibre and low in calories, beetroot supports digestion and weight management, while its vitamin C content strengthens immunity. And as per experts, its fibre, potassium, and antioxidants help reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and protect the heart from oxidative stress. Celebrating the versatility of this root vegetable, Taste Atlas recently released a list of 24 Best Rated Dishes with Beet and among those two Indian dishes were mentioned.
