Commonly known as Paddu, this dish is made with a fermented batter of rice and black lentils which is cooked in a cast-iron pan.

During the monsoon season, one can easily spot pakode made of several vegetables like onion, cauliflower, potato and even brinjal that are dipped in a gram flour batter and fried to perfection.
