Foods for a healthy uterus

The nation is celebrating Rashtriya Poshan Maah from Sep 1 to Sep 30, 2022. It’s an initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and this year’s theme is Maahila aur Sawasthya/and Bacha aur Shiksha, which aims at promoting the well-being of women and children. When we talk about a healthy female body, a well-functioning uterus plays a key role, as it forms the basis of the reproductive system of women and hence calls for extra care. And the most effective way to do so is to eat healthy and nutritious foods. (Image: istock)

Fiber-rich foods

From leafy greens to legumes, they are all rich in fibre and can help remove excess estrogen that may be stored in your body. Also, when eating a high-fiber diet, it is important you drink about 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. It will ease the movement of fiber through your digestive tract. (Image: istock)
