Immunity-boosting drinks by Sadhguru

The weather is changing, and during this time, it is important to take extra care of the immune system. The excessive moisture in the air becomes the breeding ground for viruses and bacteria that cause infection and lead to several health issues, including cough, cold, and nausea. Keeping it in mind, Sadhguru once shared some immunity-boosting drink recipes that are easy to make and help strengthen the immune system. Scroll down to read about them.

4-Ingredient Herbal Concoction

According to Sadhguru, it is a time-tested recipe by his grandmother. In the post, he has mentioned that, when there are viral infections or influenza going around, one simple thing is just to consume hot water with a little bit of honey, a little bit of turmeric, and, if possible, some mint or coriander. As per his post, if you drink this every three hours, respiratory infections will not happen to you because all these infections first lodge themselves in your throat before going into the respiratory tract.
How to make: To hot water, add a little bit of honey, turmeric, and mint or coriander. Sip it hot.

Sukku Coffee

According to Sadhguru, sukku coffee is a hot non-caffeinated beverage that offers an array of health benefits, from aiding digestion and soothing a sore throat to relieving nausea, bloating and other common ailments.
How to make it: Boil 4 cups of water, add 2-inch slightly crushed ginger, 4 tsp coriander seeds. Lower the heat and simmer for 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat and strain.Add the palm jaggery and stir until it dissolves. Serve hot!

Hot Lime

According to Sadhguru, this recipe has been around for many generations and is a well-known traditional elixir. Studies have found that consumption of honey reduces both cough severity and frequency in young children with respiratory infections. Lemons are an abundant source of Vitamin C. According to a study, vitamin C helps stimulate the production of white blood cells that helps the body fight infections.
How to make it: Boil 250 ml of water, then add the juice of 1 lemon, 1 teaspoon honey, and 2 tablespoons of jaggery, palm jaggery, or coconut sugar. Stir well and drink it while still warm. According to his post, it is best to have this 3 to 5 times a day at regular intervals.
