Traditional Ayurvedic remedies can lower joint pain and stiffness

Stiffness of muscles and joint pain is an unnerving experience and with the cold weather around the corner, these conditions tend to aggravate. While most people rely on pills and injections for pain relief, Ayurveda has some simple home remedies, which can naturally heal pain and reduce stiffness. Here are some Ayurvedic remedies you can try for joint pain relief:

2/6

Turmeric and milk

To make this simple remedy at home, mix a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk. Turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce joint pain. Apart from that, milk is loaded with calcium, which when combined with turmeric helps in reducing and healing inflammation and pain.

3/6

Ajwain oil

Application of Carom seeds oil and sesame seed oil can help in relieving pain and inflammation from joint pain.

4/6

Fenugreek seeds

Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in water overnight and consume them in the morning. Fenugreek can help reduce inflammation and alleviate joint pain and reduce stiffness. Drinking this water also helps in reducing sugar levels.

5/6

Castor oil

Another home remedy for joint pain is by applying warm castor oil with 1 tsp turmeric to the affected joints and cover the joints with a cloth. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight. This can help reduce pain and inflammation over gradual use.

6/6

Triphala powder

Triphala is an Ayurvedic herbal formula that can help detoxify the body. Consuming a teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water at bedtime can be beneficial for overall health, which may indirectly help with joint pain.
