Jimikand & Sattu Galouti Kebab

Are you a jimikand fan and bored of the regular jimikand sabzi? If yes, then this protein-rich Jimikand & Sattu Galouti Kebab is for you. Filled with the goodness of chana sattu and tenderness of boiled jimikand, these tender kebabs make for the perfect treat one can enjoy with mini Warqi paratha. Tap next to read the recipe.

Ingredients required


4 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 onions, 400 gms jimikand, 4-6 garlic cloves, 30 gms cashews, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, salt to taste, 1 tsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 2 tbsp, and 3 tbsp sattu

Step 1


Wash and pressure cook jimikand for 3 whistles and let them cool down.

Blend it into a smooth puree without adding water.

Step 3


Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, garlic, and cashews. Roast until they turn golden brown.

Let them cool down and blend into a smooth paste.

Add the jimikand to it, along with sattu and all the other spices. Shape the mixture into kebabs.

Heat a non-stick pan, grease it with ghee and place the kebabs. Cook them on low to medium flame until they turn golden brown.

Serve hot with onion rings and mint coriander chutney. Enjoy!
