Double your weight loss with these easy breakfast combos

Believe it or not, one of the most searched keywords on the internet is 'weight loss'. As everyone wants to lose weight instantly, it makes extreme dieting the most preferred option to shed kilos. These extreme diets not only devoid people of proper nutrition but have a bunch of other side effects including eye bags, poor sleep ad fatigue.

While breakfast makes for the most important meal of the day (until you are following the intermittent diet), a simple tweak in this meal can double your weight loss.

Just pairing your breakfast foods with some other healthy options can help you lose weight in a wink.

2/7

How does this work?

When it comes to losing weight, two or more foods consumed together is better than one. This is because each food has different nutrients that work together. When paired together these nutrients can help you say fuller for longer and thus stop you from binge eating and promote weight loss.

3/7

Salmon + avocado

Avocados are rich in healthy fats and an excellent source of fibre. Just half avocado contains 25 per cent of your daily recommended value of fibre. A study found that when people ate half an avocado for lunch, it decreased their desire to eat by 40 per cent in the next three hours.

Pairing this fibre and fat-rich food with some protein-rich salmon makes for a wholesome satisfying meal that keeps you fuller for longer and stops you from binge eating.

4/7

Nut butter + oats

Oats make for one of the most favourite breakfast options. Adding a spoon or two of nut butter to your oats can slow digestion and keep you fuller for longer. Oats are rich in fibre and adding nut butter adds protein and healthy fats to it and makes for a satiating meal.

5/7

Yoghurt + berries

As yummy it sounds, yoghurt with berries makes for an equally healthy combination. Yoghurt is associated with lower body mass index, lower body weight, smaller waist circumference and lower body fat. Berries make a great addition to yoghurt as they are rich in antioxidants known as flavonoids that studies have connected to weight management. According to a study published in BMJ, a higher intake of foods rich in antioxidants is associated with weight management and prevention of obesity.

6/7

Eggs + hot sauce

Easy to prepare and tasty at the same time, eggs are everyone's favourite. Pairing your eggs with some hot sauce can reduce appetite and help you burn more calories, say the researchers from Purdue University.

Capsaicin, a compound found in chilli peppers, stimulates weight loss at the molecular level by altering the key proteins found in fat. Hot sauce has capsaicin, which increases your metabolic rate and help you lose weight.

7/7

Protein powder + frozen fruit

Protein powder when paired with frozen fruits can double your weight loss. Increasing protein intake in your diet by reducing intake of refined carbs can support weight loss and increase metabolic benefits.
